- Required Qualifications: 1) Bachelor’s degree or higher, from an accredited college or university with a major in Therapeutic Recreation or a major in Recreation or Leisure with an option in Therapeutic Recreation.2) Successful completion of the NCTRC (National Council for Therapeutic Recreation) exam.
Full Job Description
This is an established and successful community/home based Therapeutic Recreation program that is expanding and looking for additional Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists. This contractual company offers adults with Traumatic Brain Injuries, and children with a variety of neuromuscular diseases, cognitive impairments, and behavioral challenges the opportunity to explore functional leisure outlets in structured and safe environments within their communities and perspective home environments. Treatment sessions are designed to meet individual needs of the clients we service. We are looking for compassionate therapists that are interested in making a difference in the lives of adults with Traumatic Brain injuries and /or children with a variety of individual needs, in the Southeast Michigan area. Full/part time opportunities as well as flexible scheduling are available.
